Best Chocolate Chip Blondies

0 Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
1 On the stovetop or in the microwave, melt butter completely and let cool until room temperature or warm.
2 In a large mixing bowl, using a whisk or rubber spatula, mix together the melted butter and brown sugar until incorporated. Add in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract. You just want to make sure the butter is cool enough so it won't heat the egg!
3 Next, pour in the flour, baking powder, and sea salt and mix until well combined using a rubber spatula.
4 Pour in the chocolate chips and mix until incorporated. Reserve a few for topping!
5 Pour your batter into a greased & lined 8x8 baking pan (I use parchment paper). Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
6 Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes. You want the top to be golden brown, but still soft! The middle will still be a little gooey. That's okay, because they will keep baking after you take them out. Don't over bake or they will turn out dry!
7 Sprinkle with flakey sea salt. Let cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
